Commissions
• Marc Spitzer was confirmed to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission by the U.S. Senate. He was officially sworn in at a public ceremony on July 24 at the Arizona Corporation Commission’s main hearing room. Mr. Spitzer has served the past several years as the Arizona Corporation commissioner.
* Colleen McGee was promoted to deputy director of the Citizens Clean Elections Commission. She will serve as adviser to Executive Director Todd Lang and assist in the daily administration and management of agency operations. Prior to her promotion, she was fiscal services manager of the commission. She assumed her new position on July 14.
* Christina Murphy was promoted to fiscal services manager of the Citizens Clean Elections Commission. Her responsibilities include reviewing, monitoring and controlling amounts expended from the budget to assure that expenditures do not exceed funds available, and to serve as the primary liaison between the commission and the General Accounting Office. She served the commission as administrative assistant III before her promotion. She will assume her new position on July 31.
Promotions
* Larry Tysiac was promoted to senior vice president of planning and engineering of local real estate company AREAD. His new position includes overseeing AREAD Construction, a wholly owned subsidiary of AREAD Inc. Mr. Tysiac previously served the company as vice president of planning and engineering and oversaw entitlement and design engineering of AREAD communities. Prior to joining AREAD, he was vice president of engineering and land development at Project Design Consultants. He holds BS and MS degrees in civil engineering from the University of Detroit.
* Anne Kleindienst was appointed by the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce as its new general counsel. Her duties include advising the chamber with governance and legal compliance matters. She has worked for the past year along side outgoing general counsel Jay Ruffner to ensure a smooth transition. Ms. Kleindienst is an attorney at Fennemore Craig’s Phoenix office and a member of the State Bar of Arizona. She has been listed in Best Lawyers in America under franchise law since 1997.
