Citizens Clean Elections Commission members are responsible for implementing the Clean Elections Act, enforcing its provisions, creating commission rules for candidates to abide by, and attending monthly meetings.
The Clean Elections Act, passed in 1998, established that commission members be appointed to five-year terms by the top statewide office holder of alternating political parties, beginning with the governor. Under state law, no more than two members may be of the same party or residents of the same county.

Ermila Jolley — Democrat from Yuma County appointed in 2002 by Governor Jane Hull. Term is set to expire in 2007.
Gary Scaramazzo — Independent from Coconino County appointed in 2005 by Gov. Janet Napolitano. Term is set to expire in 2010.
Carl J. Kunasek — Republican from Maricopa County appointed in 2006 by Secretary of State Jan Brewer as a replacement for Commissioner Tracey Bardorf. Term is set to expire in 2009.
Royann J. Parker — Republican from Pima County appointed by Secretary of State Jan Brewer in 2006 to replace Commissioner Clark Dierks. Term is set to expire in 2011.
