Chamber, industry group to merge

The Arizona Association of Industries and the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry will merge by the end of the year.
The groups’ boards unanimously approved the plan last week. The groups’ combined membership is expected to be about 500.
This merger will create a united voice for Arizona business, said Mark Dobbins, AAI chairman.
Steve Twist, chairman of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said, “We are honored to join together with this long-standing and well-respected organization.”
