David Waid will resign his post as Arizona Democratic Party chairman next month to focus on a business venture he started earlier this year. The Democratic Party will have an election for a new chairman at its August 11 state committee meeting at Yavapai College. In March, Waid and Tom Ziemba, the former executive director of Project for Arizona’s Future, created Ziemba Waid Public Affairs, a public relations and campaign consulting firm.
