Gov. Janet Napolitano says Barack Obama's campaign has not requested any personal or professional information from her to evaluate her as a vice presidential candidate.
Napolitano had been mentioned earlier this year by some as a potential vice presidential pick.
Napolitano says the Democrats have a deep bench across the country for the position, and that they all have different qualifications.
She says it's going to come down to who Obama decides can step in if he is unable to serve, who lines up well with his policies, and who he believes he can govern with.
The vice presidential nominee is slated to address the Democratic National Convention on Aug. 27.
