John McCain's presidential campaign announced Oct. 23 that Sen. John McCain will address Arizonans at an election night watch party at Phoenix's Biltmore resort, confirming a few hours later that the Republican presidential nominee will indeed speak in person.
Ivette Barajas, a spokeswoman for McCain's Phoenix campaign office, refuted an Associated Press report that the Republican candidate would not address supporters face-to-face at his election-night results watching party in Phoenix. Barajas, said the AP report was inaccurate.
"He will be (there), and he will be addressing everybody," Barajas said. "In person."
Earlier in the day, Barajas told the ~Arizona Capitol Times~ that she had not confirmed the senator's election night itinerary and could not say whether he would attend the event himself or address his supporters via video feed.
