The commission meeting opened with an address from Reagan, who expressed concern with the proposal. Reagan told the commission that there’s a place for Clean Elections in Arizona and that, in order to respect the will of the voters who approved the Clean Elections Act, it’s her duty to work with the commission.

Senate passes Clean Elections repeal on reconsideration

The Citizens Clean Elections Commission’s victory in the Senate turned out to be short-lived as two Republicans changed their votes on a measure asking voters to repeal the public campaign funding system, giving it enough votes to send it to the 2016 ballot.

Collins’ recommendation for Forese and Little includes a lengthy footnote on page 11 that makes clear the CCEC investigation could go far beyond the scope of the possible violations identified in the previous pages. In the footnote, Collins noted that the definition of “contribution” includes goods or services provided at no charge or at a discounted rate.
