Corp Comm rebuffs APS on solar requests
The Corporation Commission will hear about the combined costs and benefits of residential rooftop solar in the coming months, despite an Arizona Public Service request that the commission only investigate the costs.
Little wrote 2013 resolution opposing net metering policies
The resolution calls on the commission to abandon its net metering policy and “adopt a new rate structure for residential rooftop solar customers that would fairly apportion electrical grid maintenance costs to all customers and end the current unfair cost shift to non-solar utility customers.”
Massive solar fee increase to be considered this year
Arizona Public Service will move forward with its proposal to more than quadruple the monthly fee charged to homeowners with solar panels now instead of waiting until next year when regulators will evaluate the company’s entire rate structure.
ACC to consider solar fee tomorrow
The Arizona Corporation Commission is expected to decide tomorrow whether a fee on Arizona Public Service solar customers can be handled now or should be pushed back to become part of a rate case in 2016.
