Arizona sees big drop in jobless rate to 6.9 percent

Arizona's unemployment rate declined to 6.9 percent in April from 7.3 percent in March, marking its biggest month-to-month drop in three decades, state economists said Thursday.

Brewer appeals Medicaid ruling to Arizona Supreme Court

As expected, Gov. Jan Brewer today asked the Arizona Supreme Court to overturn an appellate court ruling allowing legislators to move forward with a lawsuit against the hospital assessment that funds her Medicaid expansion plan.
