Future of dull historical naming board about to become political

What’s in a name? If you sit on the State Board on Geographic and Historic Names, a lot of research, socio-geographical considerations and, now and then, a bit of drama – one might even say a bit of Shakespearean drama.

In this May 9, 1990, file photo, savings and loan financier Charles H. Keating Jr., appears at a National Press Club luncheon in Washington. Keating, the financier who was disgraced for his role in the costliest savings and loan failure of the 1980s, has died. He was 90. A person with direct knowledge of the death confirmed that Keating died but didn't provide further details.
