Idea of Western states taking over federal land is back in vogue

Back in the mid-1990s, Republican Sen. Sylvia Allen was a rebel. A Sagebrush Rebel. Long before she was a state lawmaker, Allen was pushing back against environmentalists and the federal government as part of a long-standing movement to force the federal government to turn over federally-managed lands to the Western states.

From Bunker Hill to Bunkerville, struggles continue

It is my duty and responsibility, and that of every red-blooded American, to speak up whenever government officials behave inappropriately or unlawfully. The aggressive BLM action was completely out of proportion to the 20-year old grazing dispute in question, and thank God no one on either side was injured or killed.

Bundy and his fellow ranchers are living on government welfare

It’s perversely ironic for rancher Cliven Bundy to excoriate poor people for collecting government subsidies, while ripping off the federal government of a million dollars in grazing fees. But, even if he were to pay up, Bundy and his fellow ranchers, would still be living on government welfare.

Just a regular patriot before this guy was president

Ward is standing by Cliven Bundy, the Nevada rancher who refused to pay grazing fees to the feds and was hailed by conservatives as a states’ rights hero, although she condemns his racist remarks about African Americans and slavery.
