Electrical grids aren’t keeping up with the green energy push.

Stalled spending on electrical grids worldwide is slowing the rollout of renewable energy and could put efforts to limit climate change at risk if millions of miles of power lines are not added or refurbished in the next few years, the International Energy Agency said.

Prescott Republican aims anew at hiking gas tax

Noel Campbell, R-Prescott, said Sept. 26 he hopes to convince colleagues that the revenue from the current levy – about $750 million a year – is insufficient to meet the state’s’ needs, both for building new roads and maintaining current ones. He argued it’s simple math – the tax rate hasn’t changed since 1991.
