VP Joe Biden to headline Phoenix Obama fundraiser
Vice President Joe Biden is set to headline a fundraiser in Phoenix that will benefit President Barack Obama's re-election campaign, the Democratic National Committee and several state Democratic campaigns. Officials with Obama's re-election campaign say Biden will attend the fundraising lunch for 100 donors at the Heard Museum in central Phoenix late Thursday morning.

Heard Museum to close in Surprise
The Surprise branch of the Heard Museum is closing at the end of the year. Museum director Frank Goodyear Jr. says the long struggling museum is a victim of the recession and low visitation.
