Senate approves watered down gun bill

State senators voted Tuesday for what was crafted as a comprehensive school and public safety plan -- but not before Republicans removed a key provision designed to take guns away from dangerous people.

Ducey defends ‘boots on the ground’ at border

Gov. Doug Ducey today defended his decision to deploy 338 National Guard soldiers to the border, saying it's not about politics even as he boasted there is finally an administration in Washington that cares about the issue.

‘Lack of funding’ only answer as tragic school shootings mount

I can’t begin to imagine the horror and grief that a school, district or community must go through when one of these shootings takes places. But equally tragic will be the answer to the question of “Why was more not done to protect our children” and the only response was “A lack of funding.”
