Currently, photo enforcement violations are not treated differently than other moving violations and persons may not attend defensive driving school more than once in a 24 month period. Within one year from the effective date of this act, all municipalities must adopt the 2006 edition of various building codes, including the International Building Code, the National Electrical Code, the Uniform Plumbing Code, the Uniform Mechanical Code and the International Residential Code. Municipalities may amend these codes only for reasons of life, safety, health or regional conditions or if amendment is more restrictive than the code provision.
