Hamilton, Gullett, Davis & Roman, a prominent Arizona strategic communications and public affairs firm, is changing its name to reflect a reorganization and expansion of the six-year-old firm.
The new name is FirstStrategic, Communications & Public Affairs. This name was chosen to reflect the firm’s core strength – analyzing complex communication and public policy challenges and crafting successful strategies to maximize client success, said founding partner Steve Roman.
“Frankly, we believe our track record clearly demonstrates that our firm is an industry leader in crafting strategies that work,” Roman said.
The firm announced that Bettina Nava and Marcus Dell’Artino are joining FirstStrategic as partners and that Art Hamilton is leaving the firm.
Regarding Hamilton’s departure, partner Barry Dill said, “After six great years in helping to build one of the most successful public affairs firms in Arizona, Mr. Hamilton has decided to move in a different direction. We respect his decision, thank him for his partnership and wish him the best in his future endeavors.”
FirstStrategic now consists of Wes Gullett, Kurt Davis, Dill and Roman, in addition to Nava and Dell’Artino.
Roman said the firm will continue its tradition of diverse political viewpoints among partners who have close ties to numerous segments of the community.
“Our total firm, if you include all of our partners as well as all of our associates, we’re split pretty evenly amongst ourselves in terms of Democrat and Republican. In terms of everybody, we have folks who have close ties and are respected in a variety of different communities, and our goal is to be able to be involved and succeed for our clients while improving our community,” Roman said, invoking the firm’s motto of “Succeeding for our clients while improving our community.”
The firm’s clients include the Arizona Cardinals, Arizona Association of Realtors, Bashas’ Supermarkets, CEMEX, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Salt River Project, and Translational Genomics Research Institute.
