PHOENIX — No Labels gubernatorial nominee Teri Ann Hourihan has chosen a real estate broker and health and wellness coach as her running mate.

Angela Harrolle Mohan, a registered independent, also spent more than a decade as CEO of The 100 Club, a nonprofit that provides financial assistance and other resources to the families of police officers, firefighters and other public safety personnel who are killed or seriously injured in the line of duty.

The announcement comes ahead of Friday’s deadline set by the Secretary of State’s Office for gubernatorial candidates to publicly identify their preferred lieutenant governor nominee.

Republican hopeful Andy Biggs has already selected former state Sen. Sine Kerr. Incumbent Democrat Katie Hobbs plans to tap former Mesa Mayor John Giles, a former Republican who re-registered earlier this year as an independent, according to a New York Times report.

Hourihan secured the No Labels nomination after defeating Hugh Lytle, the candidate backed by No Labels Chairman Paul Johnson.

Since winning the nomination, Hourihan has criticized both major-party candidates.

Hourihan criticized Hobbs for what she described as her failure to make Arizona more affordable. She also faulted the governor for signing legislation pushed by Arizona Public Service that allows utilities to issue low-interest bonds backed by aging coal-fired power plants.

Critics argued the measure came as APS was backing away from its commitment to reduce its reliance on fossil fuels and would allow the utility to keep coal plants operating longer. Hobbs press aide Christian Slater said the governor disagreed with the APS decision but said the “securitization” measure will help deliver more energy.

Hourihan has criticized Biggs for being one of two Republicans on the U.S. House Oversight Committee to oppose a 2025 motion to subpoena files from the U.S. Department of Justice about financier Jeffrey Epstein and the federal sex trafficking charges against him.

And she faults Biggs for what she described as his blind acceptance of whatever the president wants.

“He worships Trump,” Hourihan said.

The No Labels nominee added that she doesn’t hate the president.

“But I don’t support all of his policies, and I don’t support everything he says and does,” Hourihan said.
