Frank Gluck

Frank Gluck has joined Arizona Capitol Times/State Affairs as managing editor, bringing more than 25 years of reporting and editing experience covering state government, public policy, health care, criminal justice and local government. Most recently, Gluck served as Baltimore County bureau chief for The Baltimore Sun, where he supervised reporters covering education, crime, courts and government in Baltimore County and regularly served as fill-in editor for the newspaper's Capitol Bureau covering the Maryland General Assembly. Prior to that, he was public safety and suburbs editor at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and spent more than a decade as a reporter with the USA Today Network in Florida, producing watchdog and enterprise reporting on state government, health care, elections, the COVID-19 pandemic and public safety. He also served as state health reporter for The Tennessean in Nashville. Gluck’s work — from presidential elections and state legislatures to major criminal cases and the nation's health care system — has earned recognition from the Society of Professional Journalists, the Florida Society of News Editors and Iowa Associated Press Managing Editors. He is also a National Health Journalism Fellow through the USC Annenberg Center for Health Journalism. A graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, Gluck is passionate about accountability reporting, strong newsroom leadership and helping journalists produce their best work.
