TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) a�� A Tucson city councilman is being urged to resign after allegedly making inappropriate sexual remarks at a bar during a city-sponsored trip to San Diego.

The Arizona Daily Star reports some colleagues want Paul Cunningham to step down in the wake of an accusation that he made offensive, alcohol-fueled comments to three top female city officials.

Cunningham said Tuesday he has no plans to resign.

Cunningham says he had been drinking during an economic development conference two weeks ago. The Democratic councilman says he has apologized to several people though he can’t recall any specific comments made. Cunningham says he apologized at the suggestion of the Tucson mayor.
