Thrasher distancing herself from ad

Former state Rep. Jackie Thrasher is distancing herself from an ad campaign that seeks to tie her with Rep. Jim Weiers in her District 10 quest to be returned to the House. Apparently someone named "Bill Smith" sent out an email blast with a graphic reading: "Keep the winning team: Vote Weiers, Johnson, Thrasher. Paid for by Bill Smith."

Thrasher to run again for D-10 House seat

A North Phoenix music teacher is hoping to return to the Legislature in 2011 and avenge a narrow defeat in last year's election. Jackie Thrasher, who one term served in the House before being defeated in last fall's election, announced Oct. 15 that she is running for the House next year.
