Brewer may push for special election on AHCCCS (access required)

Gov. Jan Brewer has insisted repeatedly during the past year that the Legislature has the authority to cut spending for Arizona’s Medicaid program below the level that voters thought they had locked 10 years ago. But she appears to have shifted strategy and is planning instead to ask voters to approve the cuts in a special election.

  1. Wish Brewer and legislature would act rather than postpone the issue.

  2. Has the Governor told her employees or for herself or the Legislators to have the same Furlough days as the rest of the state employees? Have they lost the perks their jobs might provide – state vehicles, state paid cell phones, etc.? We are all employees of the state of Arizona and its citizens.

  3. Wow, Brewer is a one woman death panel. Where is the outrage from the teabaggers?
