Ward today announced that she’s resigning her LD5 Senate seat on December 15 to focus exclusively on her primary challenge to McCain in next year’s US Senate race. In a news release, Ward said she knew it was going to be a tough battle but still believed that it was possible to retain her seat while taking on the incumbent.
