Advocates push media literacy training in schools
Local advocates are pushing for lawmakers to implement media literacy training in schools around Arizona, something states across the country are already doing.
Lawmakers should focus on banning intolerance, discrimination in classrooms
Creating a clear and standard escalating process by which parents can resolve a violation with the teachers and school district is important before thrusting these issues into the courts. This escalation process will also help empower communities to avoid fines and rebuild trust between school leaders, educators and parents.
Reject left’s racial quotas with HCR2001
There is no doubt that Arizona students will benefit if state lawmakers stop public schools from teaching kids to treat each other differently based upon race. But ultimately, actions speak louder than words, and our public educational institutions must lead by example and never reduce our teachers, students, or staff to merely the color of their skin.
