A spokesman for the failed Republican gubernatorial hopeful Kari Lake told Capitol Media Services Lake still believes, even with the restrictions the Arizona Supreme Court has imposed, she can meet her burden of proving the counting of election results was tainted and the outcome should be declared void.

The Arizona Court of Appeals has agreed to expedite consideration of Kari Lake's claims that the 2022 election was flawed. But none of that means the judges are going to give her what she wants: either to be installed as governor or require a new election in the state's largest county.

The state Court of Appeals will consider later this month whether to expedite a bid by Kari Lake to overturn the results of the gubernatorial election she lost by more than 17,000 votes.

A bid by Abe Hamadeh to have a judge declare him the next attorney general is "based on little more than speculation and conjecture,'' an attorney for his Democratic opponent, Kris Mayes, is saying.
