Magellan Health Services of Arizona, Inc. is seeking volunteers to serve on advisory committees to help the organization with its community involvement.
Magellan, which manages public-sector behavioral health care programs in Arizona, set a deadline of Oct. 5 for volunteers to submit applications. Volunteers who are accepted to serve are eligible for a stipend of $35 per meeting.
Maricopa County stakeholders have a unique perspective on their behavioral health delivery system and can advise Magellan as the new Regional Behavioral Health Authority, Magellan President Russell C. Petrella, Ph.D., said.
“Joining one of the Magellan’s advisory committees is an ideal way for those individuals to stay engaged and ensure that their voice is heard,” he said in a news release.
The advisory committees include community training, quality improvement, customer service and quality of care. Magellan posted descriptions of each of the 14 committees on its Web site: MagellanofAZ.com.
