The Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control utilized every investigator on staff and collaborated with other law enforcement agencies in conducting liquor enforcement for the FBR Open, the Super Bowl and related gatherings in and around those events.
Law enforcement agencies made a total of 93 arrests and issued 57 administrative charges for all events, according to a department press release.
NFL Experience and Super Bowl totals:
• 22 arrests for various alcohol violations of Arizona liquor law (Title 4 violations).
• All 22 arrests took place at the University of Phoenix Stadium or at Westgate, Coyote Hill or Quick Q.
• Included in those arrests are 10 administrative charges against liquor-license holders.
FBR Open and Birds Nest totals:
• 46 arrests for various violations of Arizona liquor law (Title 4).
• Included in the on-site arrests were six administrative charges against liquor-license holders.
• An additional 25 arrests were made for Title 4 violations at locations of parties off-site (not part of FBR Open) in the Scottsdale area.
• A total of 41 administrative charges will be submitted for Leather/Lace, Bud Bowl, Sugar Daddy’s, 944 Event, Devil’s Martini, Chronic Taco, Dirty Devil, Bungalow, Myst and The Door. ?
