Republicans ready $1.2m for Ariz. governor’s race

Gov. Jan Brewer could be getting a big financial boost from national Republicans in her bid to be elected to a full term of her own.

The Republican Governors Association has provided its Arizona political action committee with $1.2 million.

The equivalent Democratic organization so far has only $4,500, according to its most recent campaign finance report.

Both Democrat Terry Goddard and Brewer are running with set amounts of funding, but independent expenditures for or against individual candidates also are allowed.
