Terry Goddard's PIO Anne Hilby said that she has made several clarifications to previous blog posts that claimed Terry Goddard was representing defendants in the Desert Divas case. Technically, it is true. Goddard did at one time represent one woman arrested, but the Goddard in question is another attorney unrelated to the current Attorney General.
GOP behind Quelland
Several sources from the District 10 Republicans said talks of looking for replacements for Rep. Doug Quelland have died off. The mustachioed lawmaker was absent from the party's Monday night (Sept. 21) meeting, but he did have a LD10 Republican relay the message that the lawmaker "had hit a home run" during his testimony that occurred earlier in the day, said one source.
Will Arpaio take a side?
Rumors abound that Sheriff Joe Arpaio will give Paradise Valley Mayor Vernon Parker his endorsement, and while the sheriff said he hasn't made up his mind about the 2010 governor's race, the two did meet at Arpaio's 19th floor office in August.
Biden raises cash for Giffords
Joe Biden spoke yesterday at a fundraiser in Delaware for Gabrielle Giffords. According to a report from ABC News, Biden said that if Giffords' seat and other traditionally-held Republican ones were to switch back to GOP control, it would sink Obama's agenda.

Democrats partying it up at the Wrigley mansion Friday (Sept. 4) night were pretty surprised when city councilman Sal DiCiccio, a Republican, showed up at their high-end fundraiser. DiCiccio and wife, Deb, were apparently there to enjoy the view at the hill-top locale. But DiCiccio's rival, Democrat Dana Kennedy, thinks he was actually crashing the party.
