The Arizona Democratic Party has filed a complaint with several prosecuting agencies to ask for an investigation of a Republican member of the state’s redistricting commission.

The complaint submitted by party Executive Director Luis Heredia says Commissioner Richard Stertz’s sworn application to serve on the commission omitted information about tax liens, court judgments and fraud allegations as well about his wife’s employment and his own political involvement.

Stertz did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Heredia filed the complaint Thursday, a day after Republican Attorney General Tom Horne asked a court to order the commission’s two Democratic members and its independent chairs to cooperate with an open meeting law investigation.
