Goldwater Institute: Is the Sheriff breaking the law?

On Monday, the Goldwater Institute filed a records request with the Pinal County Sheriff with the goal of determining whether Babeu’s office is properly using funds raised from forfeited civil assets. The request comes after Babeu faced questions about his office’s use of RICO funds to produce a mailer, some of which were sent out to CD1 voters.
